Reiki

 

What is Reiki?

 

Reiki is a beautiful healing modality developed by Mikao Usui in Japan which is activated by intention. Reiki is a Japanese word meaning:

 

Rei - "God's wisdom, or the Higher Power"

Ki - "life force energy"

 

When "rei" and "ki" are used together Reiki means "Universal life force or Energy".

 

Reiki has been known to work and has been felt on every level of the person whether it is physical, emotional, or spiritual. This is a gentle and non-invasive healing therapy that can be used on everything and every one; whether you are in need of balancing, relaxing, easing chronic pain or various health issues, Reiki can assist everyone from all ages and walks of life.

 

With hands placed either directly on the client or above, each Reiki session is different for each person and can be experienced as either a light vibration in the body, feeling warm or cool, a light to mild tingling or an increase of energy flow. At times, some may not have a physical experience at all.

 

Reiki can be done either long-distance or in-person and can have a lasting effect after just one session. However, longer lasting effects may be felt and seen over the course of several regular treatments. This can be discussed with your Reiki practitioner and reviewed as necessary.

 

Reiki sessions are available for 30 or 60 minutes.
